Red wine from Bordeaux, AOC Bordeaux Supérieur
Château Croix Mouton is a gourmet and fleshy red wine from the 2016 vintage. It is a wine for pleasure made on clay soil located in Lugon, on the edge of the Dordogne. It is within a very old wine-growing past that the vines have flourished.
Since 1997, the vineyard has been owned by the Janoueix family and has benefited from the advice of the oenologist Jean-philippe Fort. This Bordeaux red wine has been aged in vats and barrels. It is mainly made from a grape variety well known to all in the region: Merlot . The Cabernet-franc completes the harmony of this 2016 wine. The imprint of Janoueix know-how is a pleasure to discover during tasting.
Whether you are simple amateurs or unconditional French red wine , you will inevitably fall in love with this red wine with a beautiful dark and intense color. Fruity and spicy wine on the nose, it reveals a mouth with a frank and intense attack. Melted tannins appear and the finish is pleasant.
In the kitchen, Château Croix Mouton 2016 can be enjoyed with meats such as a leg of lamb, all kinds of grilled red meats or even with roasted guinea fowl. It is also delicious when drunk with a good mountain cheese.
