Red wine from Belgium, Produced by Château de Bioul, AOP Côtes de Sambre et Meuse
Cortil Braco 2018 is a red wine from Belgium and has the appellation Côtes de Sambre et Meuse. This first red wine produced by Château de Bioul gives a unique place to the Black Cabaret grape (we all know the Cabernet Sauvignon from which it comes). The vines have benefited from good exposure since they are located in the very center of the village of Bioul where there is a vein of carboniferous shale. Since 2019, the vineyard has obtained ORGANIC certification which highlights all the work of the owners Vanessa Vaxelaire and her husband Andy Wyckmans. In fact, the couple promotes biodynamics, respects the environment and promotes permaculture.
This Cortil Braco 2018 has, to the eye, a ruby red dress. On the nose, it reveals notes of red fruit joined by those specific to shale wines (an aftertaste of smokiness and minerality). On the palate, this wine is gourmet. Its acidity is skilfully dosed.
Ideally, this red wine is served at a temperature between 12 and 14 ° C.
It can be enjoyed on its own or with a poultry dish, a cheese platter or a chocolate dessert.
