Bordeaux red Wine with Moulis protected designation of origin - sold by box
Red Bordeaux wine - Cru bourgeois superior of Moulis-en-Médoc Protected Designation of Origin, 2016 vintage
Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux 2016 is a red wine from the estate of Château Grand Poujeaux, the hot spot of the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation. It is famous for the finesse of its wines and the quality of its terroir. The estate takes its name from the owner who founded the cru around 1850. The estate was bought by François Cordonnier from the descendants of the Dutruch family in 1967.
Château Dutruch is built on a property of about thirty hectares, mostly composed of Garonne gravel. This type of soil favours the concentration of fruit, guaranteeing the quality of future wines. The grape variety of this 2013 vintage is mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%) and Merlot (28%). The strong heat of the year 2013 allows us to enjoy a more expressive wine than in previous years.
The Bordeaux red wine Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux 2013 has a beautiful ruby red colour. The nose is marked by aromas of strawberries, wild berries and blackcurrant to which is added a slight note of laurel and pepper. The attack on the palate is made on notes of black fruits, with a powerful tannin giving it a pleasant and long finish.
