Red wine from France, PDO Gaillac
Domaine Prat Castet Gaillac is a red wine from the South West of France with the protected designation of origin Gaillac. This appellation owes its originality to the local grape varieties it owns such as duras, ondenc, mauzac or braucol (or fer servadou). This wine is the result of a blend of syrah, duras and braucol. Duras is a very old Gaillac grape variety which is very fond of limestone soils. Braucol has the particularity of developing black fruit aromas such as blackcurrant.
The vines are grown on terraces on the hillsides and on clay-limestone soil. The grapes were vinified in the traditional way. To the eye, Domaine Prat Castet Gaillac has a dark colour with purple reflections, announcing a warm character. On the nose, this wine has developed a rich palette of black fruit and spicy aromas. The mouth combines power and elegance.
To enjoy this quality wine in the best conditions, simply serve it at a temperature of 17° C. It is intended to be drunk with dishes in sauce, red and white meats, leg of lamb or cheese.
