Château Haut-Bages Libéral 2013 is a red wine that was designated as a 5th classified growth as early as 1855. The wine estate has seen several owners over the years but this has never affected the quality of its wines. With a total surface area of 28 hectares, the estate extends over an area close to the Gironde. The vines are about thirty years old and grow on gravelly soil and limestone subsoil. This vintage blends Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, two of the flagship grape varieties of the vineyard. It also benefits from the Pauillac appellation, which makes it synonymous with the jewel of the Médoc.

To the eye, this Château Haut-Bages Libéral 2013 shows a dark and intense garnet colour. It is a wine with a good ageing potential, whose peak is between 3 and 10 years after a stay in the cellar. Of a semi-intense intensity, the nose concentrates both floral and fruity aromas and a fine woody touch.

The palate is dense, rich and fresh thanks to the presence of unctuous tannins of an average level of complexity.

For optimal tasting (with red meat, for example), it is recommended to serve this red Bordeaux wine at a temperature between 14 and 16°C.
