Bordeaux red Wine with Moulis protected designation of origin
Red Bordeaux wine - Superior cru bourgeois with Protected Designation of Origin Moulis-en-Médoc, Vintage 2014
Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux 2014 is a red wine produced on the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation of origin. Founded in 1850 by Mr. Dutruch, the estate extends over the croup of Grand-Pojeaux, that is to say over thirty hectares. The vines flourish on soils made up of quality Garonne gravel. A new family of owners arrived in 1967 and since 2016 it is François Cordonnier who has taken over the management of the estate. The wines are generally powerful and charming and have good ageing potential.
This Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux 2014 has been made according to the conventional viticulture method and has benefited from ageing in vats and barrels. This gastronomic wine blends four grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
The aromatic tradition of the Château is respected thanks to the finesse of the floral notes. The nose reveals ripe fruits, hints of vanilla and toast. Harmony reigns supreme on this red Bordeaux wine. On the palate, the tannins are fine and skilfully proportioned. For a perfect tasting, it is recommended to serve this Bordeaux wine at a temperature between 17 and 18°C. At the table, it goes very well with grandmother pheasant or a duck confit parmentier.
