Château Phelan Ségur 2013 is a Bordeaux red wine that belongs to an estate of the same name. Owned by renowned owners such as Bernard Phélan, the Delons and Xavier Gardinier, the vineyard is located near the town of Saint-Estèphe. With 70 hectares of clayey gravel, the vines produce a typical Médoc wine each year. The grape varieties are 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 1.5% Petit Verdot and 1.5% Cabernet Franc. The wine is aged in barrels for 18 months. This gastronomic wine signifies a respect for the terroir by its owner who has followed the principles of sustainable agriculture.
Château Phelan Ségur 2013 is a very typical wine with a deep colour. On the nose, the aromatic palette is wide and highlights aromas of pure and frank fruit enhanced by hints of vanilla and spices. On the palate, the attack is smooth and round thanks to elegant and harmonious tannins. The finish is long and reveals aromas of red fruit and blackcurrant. To savour the qualities of this vintage to the full, it is advisable to serve it at a temperature of 17 to 18°C.
