Amiral de Beychevelle 2016 is a red wine from Château Beuchevelle, built in 1565 and currently owned by the Castel and Suntory groups. The vineyard extends over approximately 90 hectares with deep Garonne gravel soil, suitable for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. For the realization of this 2016 vintage, the choice of a reasoned culture and manual harvesting was made. The harvest allowed us to select the best grape varieties for this 2016 vintage, i.e. 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. The wine was aged in oak barrels, 30% of which were new, for a total of 12 months.

Amiral de Beychevelle is a second wine that has nothing to envy to the greatest vintages. It shows to the eye an intense brilliant garnet red colour. The nose reveals notes of red fruits and spices. The palate shows a beautiful concentration with suppleness and silky tannins.

This Bordeaux wine from the Saint-Julien appellation is best served at a temperature of 18°C. It goes perfectly with red meat, game meat or a full-bodied cheese.
