Red wine of France, vintage 2014 - Saint-Emilion "Grand Cru Classé"
French Red Wine from the Bordeaux region, AOC Pomerol year 2014
Blason de l'Evangile Pomerol is a rich and full-bodied wine from the 2014 vintage. With its aromas of blackcurrant, coffee and cedar, it will delight the most demanding nose. With its irresistible deep colour, there is no doubt that enthusiasts will be keen to accompany it with meats such as beef, breast of duck or lamb. On the palate, Blason de l'Evangile Pomerol has characteristics very similar to those of a great wine except that it does not keep as well.
The attack is fine, elegant and structured. The finish is ample thanks to the ripe tannins. In order to bring this balanced vintage to you with the Appellation Pomerol Contrôlée, it was matured in (two year old) barrels for 15 months. The Château l'Evangile vineyard offers an exceptional terroir composed of gravel mixed with sand and clay. The grape varieties used to produce this Pomerol are none other than Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
It is advisable to decant the wine about an hour before tasting.
The ideal serving temperature is between 16 and 18° C.
